PRACTICE
Our staff and volunteers work hard to provide you with a plethora of opportunities to experience Restorative Practices. Whether you're brand new to this whole "Restorative" thing, went to a training and want to continue skill-building, or are an experienced practitioner looking to get connected to a community of other practitioners, you are welcome! Remember, this is Restorative Practice, not Restorative Perfect! We're all practicing and building our Restorative muscles here.
Thursday Practice
We host weekly practice opportunities at ECRJC. Our goal is that a Restorative Response becomes the instinctual response, not the punitive responses that permeate our society today. To do that, we need to practice!
First Thursday: Values Circle
ECRJC School Specialist, Debbie Mulhern & volunteer, Erricka Willard co-facilitate a community building circle on values the first Thursday of the month. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and process our daily lives or current events in a restorative, supportive environment.
Fourth Thursday: Conferencing Roleplay
Marie Moy also runs a Restorative Conference Role Play on the fourth Thursday of the month. Come practice facilitating a Restorative Conference (or help by putting your acting hat on and playing the role of a participant!). Please register in advance so Marie can pick a scenario that fits the group size.
Additional Practice Opportunities
Can't make Thursday's work? We often have other practice opportunities on other days of the week! Keep an eye on this section for information about circle writing workshops, educator support circles, and other practice opportunities coming up.
